About the Role
Join a cross-functional team developing the UX/UI layer for a next-generation oven device.

In this role, you will design and implement embedded software in Rust on Linux systems, translating user interface inputs into real-time control signals for hardware components.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement embedded software in Rust for Linux-based systems.
• Translate UX/UI input data into control commands and signals for the oven’s power board and control systems.
• Collaborate with designers, firmware engineers, and hardware teams to ensure smooth integration of the user interface with control logic.
• Create and maintain microservices supporting device communication, user interaction, and system feedback.
• Optimize performance, memory usage, and reliability in resource-constrained environments.
• Conduct debugging and testing using tools such as JTAG, SWD, and embedded Linux utilities.
• Document architecture, APIs, and workflows for internal and external stakeholders.
• Mentor junior engineers and actively contribute to the technical growth of the team.

Requirements:

• Experience programming in Rust for embedded systems on the Linux platform
• Practical knowledge of Embedded Linux development, including kernel customization and build systems (Yocto, Buildroot)
• Knowledge of microservice architecture and inter-process communication
• Low-level programming skills and experience working with real-time constraints
• Experience developing device drivers for microcontrollers (ARM Cortex)
• Knowledge of communication protocols: UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, Modbus
• Understanding of OTA updates, system bootloaders, and secure firmware deployment
• Proficiency with debugging tools: JTAG, SWD, logic analyzers
• Ability to optimize performance in resource-limited environments
• Experience translating UX/UI mockups and user flows into embedded logic
• Advanced English proficiency
• Willingness to complete onboarding in Sweden
