About the Role
My AI spacetech client is seeking a talented Rust Software 
Engineer. You will join an innovative team focused on taking 
cutting edge concepts from theory into deployment,
specifically enhancing sophisticated scheduling solutions with machine learning and embedding capabilities at the edge for dynamic network environments. This role is based in Houston, TX, requiring a hybrid presence in the office 2-3 days per week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, enhance, and develop complex simulation environments for modeling, AI driven topology solving, 
  and dynamic mesh networking.
• Leverage your Rust expertise to support data science and machine learning development and integration.
• Create, implement, and test route optimization algorithms.
• Develop robust embedded software for deployment in dynamic, resource-constrained network environments.

Requirements:

• US Citizenship or Permanent Resident / Green Card status (ITAR Regulations).
• 2 years professional software development proficiency in  Rust.
• Experience working with simulation environments.
• Solid understanding of software testing methodologies.
• Proficiency in Python, particularly for supporting data science and ML tasks.
• Excellent analytical and complex system troubleshooting  skills.

What Will Make You Stand Out

• While not essential, the following skills and experiences will significantly strengthen your application:
• Experience with performance tuning and asynchronous programming in Rust (e.g., Tokio).
• Familiarity with integrating machine learning models into software applications (using standard frameworks).
• Experience with C++.
• Exposure to satellite communications, space systems, or related advanced communication domains.
