Key Responsibilities:

• Work on the multi-platform client SDK as well as on existing and new backend components for scalable and (ideally) error-free E2EE messaging
• Active participation in shaping the future direction through own feature and architecture suggestions, as well as proactive collaboration and communication. 
• Understanding the challenges of transitioning from other programming languages ​​to the specifics of Rust and supporting colleagues in understanding and porting. 
• End-to-end understanding from linting and automated testing to optimized compilation and container building of Rust artifacts in CI/CD systems, as well as their maintenance and improvement.
• Focus on good documentation, unit and integration tests, and conducting complex smoke and load tests.

Requirements:

• Completed studies or comparable training in the IT field 
• At least 3 years of Rust experience with the ability to consciously utilize the advantages of this language.
• At least 5 years of experience in professional software development and enjoyment of working in agile development teams.
• Strong understanding of typical security risks (e.g., OWASP) and how to avoid them.
• Experience in developing high-performance web services and APIs, as well as familiarity with cryptographic encryption methods in this environment.
• Experience with automated testing, generation and releasing of production-ready Rust artifacts in at least one CI/CD framework
• Knowledge and understanding of client SDK development and multi-platform frameworks such as uniffi-rs or Tauri is a plus (client SDK).
• Knowledge and understanding of Kubernetes-based application architectures is a plus (backend).
• A creative and flexible mind with intrinsic motivation to implement own ideas and a pronounced "hands-on" mentality. 
• Fluent German (spoken and written) and very good English skills
