What project we have for you
Designing the MCP Server for the client’s API from scratch. 
This project focuses on the development of a robust and scalable MCP server. This server will act as a vital bridge, enabling AI agents and other MCP-compatible clients to intelligently interact with Client’s Location APIs. By creating this crucial piece of infrastructure, you will empower AI to understand and reason about the physical world, opening up new possibilities in logistics, autonomous systems, urban planning, and beyond.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement core services for:
  • MCP Server (tool registry, session management, protocol endpoints).
  • MCP Content Delivery (streaming, heavy data transformation, async workers).
  • Guardrails (usage quotas, rate limiting, anomaly detection, schema validation).
  • Advanced trace collection and observability dashboards.
• Extend and maintain the McpEngine and its built‑in tools (e.g., geocode, reverse geocode, routing, matrix routing, isoline routing, tour planning, map attributes, public transit, traffic flow).
• Implementing the logic to interface with a diverse set of Location APIs, ensuring efficient and reliable data exchange.
• Optimize system performance for high-throughput/low-latency operations.
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and sprint planning.
• Collaborate closely with QA, DevOps, and BA to refine backlog items and deliver secure, high-quality releases.
• Contribute to documentation, runbooks, and best practices for maintainability and scalability.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of professional experience in backend development with Rust.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems and high-load data processing (streaming, queuing, caching).
• Experience integrating with RESTful APIs (request/response modeling, error handling, retries, timeouts).
• Experience designing platform-agnostic cores, where business logic is decoupled from transport and serving layers.
• Good understanding of the Model Context Protocol (MCP) and its client-server architecture is highly desirable.
• Ability to design and maintain domain models and data types that map to external APIs and internal reasoning needs.
• Familiarity with tracing/logging and observability patterns in async Rust.
