Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and develop the core Genius Sports data platform — delivering a modern, performant, and scalable solution that empowers our customers and enables our product engineering teams to move fast
- Build infrastructure, tooling, and applications that support the organization’s AI, analytics, and data distribution objectives
- Develop robust observability solutions that ensure the health and performance of the platform
Requirements:
- Strong software engineering fundamentals
- 3+ years of professional experience as a software engineer
- Proficiency with modern programming languages (e.g. Rust, TypeScript, Python)
- Proficiency with modern streaming technologies (e.g. Pulsar, Kafka, RisingWave, Flink, Arroyo)
- Proficiency with modern database technologies and concepts (e.g. SQL, NoSQL, OLTP, OLAP, data modeling)
- Proficiency with modern observability tooling and concepts (e.g. Grafana, Prometheus, tracing)
- Passion and excitement — for growth and learning, for our domain, for problem-solving and technical challenges
- Strong sense of ownership and responsibility
- Strong written communication skills
