About the Role
As a (Senior) Embedded Rust Developer, you'll build the bridge between hardware and AI. You'll develop the performance-critical services that connect building technology with our intelligent algorithms and enable millisecond-precise control.

Key Responsibilities

• As a senior Rust developer, you shape the technical architecture of our low-level stack and define code standards
• You design robust, concurrent systems for hundreds of simultaneous protocol connections with thousands of data points
• You develop performance-critical connectors for industrial building protocols (BACnet, KNX, Modbus, etc.)
• You analyze and eliminate performance bottlenecks in millisecond-critical data streams
• You deploy and test directly on ARM hardware in real building systems
• You independently evaluate new protocols and hardware platforms for the roadmap

Requirements

• At least 3 years of practical experience in Rust development
• Experience with performance analysis, bottleneck identification and optimization in system-level applications
• Experience in designing robust, concurrent systems with asynchronous programming for data stream processing
• Cross-compilation and debugging for ARM/x86 gateways as well as practical experience with edge deployments
• German language skills at least B2 level
• Self-organized work style with hands-on mentality – preferably startup-experienced
• Advantageous: Experience with building automation protocols (BACnet, KNX, Modbus) or industrial communication standards
