Job Description
About the Role
An energy company is looking for a Senior Rust Engineer to join their team working on a next-gen energy platform. This role will see you working in a small, close-knit team meaning you can make real impact on projects and business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and build robust, scalable backend services and APIs usingRust, with an emphasis on reliability, safety, and performance
- Contribute to cloud-based systems that manage distributed energy resources at scale
- Collaborate cross-functionally with mobile, embedded, and product teams to shape architecture and deliver features end-to-end
- Champion best practices in software engineering and play a key role in technical decision-making
Requirements:
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong experience withRustor a deep interest in transitioning to Rust from other strongly typed languages
- Exposure to backend and/or systems-level development, ideally with cloud-native or serverless experience
- Passion for clean architecture, maintainable code, and modern engineering principles
