About the Role
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee the development of software solutions using the Rust programming language
• Design, implement, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Rust code
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
• Conduct code reviews and ensure code quality and best practises are maintained
• Troubleshoot and debug issues to improve software performance
• Stay up-to-date with the latest Rust language features, tools, and best practises

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 3+ years professional experience as a Rust developer or engineer
• Demonstrated expertise in developing software using Rust
• Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Distributed systems, concurrency experience

Bonus Points:

• 3D Game Development, CAD or Geometry experience
• Familiarity with Bevy or ECS engines
• Contributions to open-source Rust projects

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

Knowledge and Skills:

• Proficiency in Rust programming language
• Experience with software development lifecycle and tools
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Experience with web development using Rust
• Knowledge of other programming languages such as C/C++ or Python

Working Conditions:
This role will involve working in a collaborative team environment, regular communication with team members, and the need to stay current with industry trends and technologies related to Rust programming. Fully remote option, with preference for EST/CST timezones.
