Job Description
About the Role
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the development of software solutions using the Rust programming language
- Design, implement, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Rust code
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
- Conduct code reviews and ensure code quality and best practises are maintained
- Troubleshoot and debug issues to improve software performance
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Rust language features, tools, and best practises
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years professional experience as a Rust developer or engineer
- Demonstrated expertise in developing software using Rust
- Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Distributed systems, concurrency experience
Bonus Points:
- 3D Game Development, CAD or Geometry experience
- Familiarity with Bevy or ECS engines
- Contributions to open-source Rust projects
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Knowledge and Skills:
- Proficiency in Rust programming language
- Experience with software development lifecycle and tools
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Experience with web development using Rust
- Knowledge of other programming languages such as C/C++ or Python
Working Conditions:
This role will involve working in a collaborative team environment, regular communication with team members, and the need to stay current with industry trends and technologies related to Rust programming. Fully remote option, with preference for EST/CST timezones.
