About the Role
We’re looking for a Fullstack Engineer to join our UI team. This is a pivotal role where you’ll serve as the primary backend/fullstack engineer on the team, ensuring we can scale our ability to deliver new features and improve the user experience.  

You’ll split your time between backend work in Rust and frontend development in React/TypeScript, building the foundation that makes our product intuitive and powerful for customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Primary engineer focused on backend development for the UI team, designing, building and maintaining features in our Rust-based backend.
• Help lead the migration from PostgREST endpoints to GraphQL and convert existing UI components to consume the new APIs.
• Debug, optimize, and improve the performance of queries and data flows.
• Collaborate with frontend teammates to implement new features in our React/TypeScript dashboard application.
• Work across the full development lifecycle: design, implementation, testing, deployment, and monitoring/support.
• Partner closely with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver customer-facing features end-to-end.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of fullstack engineering experience, ideally including work in startup or fast-moving environments.
• Proven experience splitting time across backend and frontend development, with ownership of features from start to finish.
• Strong proficiency in **Rust **or TypeScript/JavaScript (bonus if you have both).
• Some experience working with React and understanding the larger React ecosystem.
• Comfortable working cross-functionally and adapting quickly in a collaborative team setting.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with MUI and material design principles.
• Experience with Supabase/PostgREST.
• Experience with Zustand (or other global state providers).
• Basic knowledge of WASM 
• Basic knowledge of GraphQL
• Previous startup experience, especially in the data or cloud space.
