Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
At The Moment, This Role Is Focused On
- Collaborating with a senior team of engineers to deliver high-quality, seamless developer environments.
- Strategising, planning and most importantly delivering fast iterative improvements to new and existing developer tooling capabilities.
- Driving clarity in ambiguous situations and taking a hypothesis-driven approach to testing out new ideas.
- Collaborating with a dozen other teams in the DevX and Infra groups to ensure a cohesive end-to-end experience for every Canvanaut.
- Working with stakeholders like Product Managers, Technical Project Managers and other technology leaders to understand problems and drive initiatives forward.
You're probably a match if:
- You have strong Computer Engineering / Science knowledge around fundamentals and first principles relating to concurrency, multithreading, data structures, architecture, and various design patterns
- You have advanced coding proficiency in Python/ Java/ Golang, Rust and strong Object Oriented Programming fundamentals
- You have experience delivering improvements in developer tooling and environments at scale
- You’re passionate about eliminating friction and cognitive load for fellow engineers
- You’re comfortable navigating ambiguity and take a hypothesis-led approach to testing ideas
- You write clean, maintainable code and are comfortable working across the stack
- You’ve got great collaboration skills and love working cross-functionally with engineers, PMs and technical leaders
- You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are excited by Canva’s hypergrowth
