Job Description
About Realm
We’re working with a team who are building the core infrastructure that powers the next generation of blockchain-enabled applications; empowering developers to create faster, more efficient, and more accessible digital experiences.
Their mission is to make it simple, scalable, and intuitive to build in the new internet economy.
Thousands of teams, from early-stage startups to major tech companies, rely on their APIs, webhooks, and data indexing tools to power their products.
About the Role
We’re looking for multiple** Rust Engineers** to design, build, and scale the backend systems behind the developer platform. You’ll work on high-performance, low-latency infrastructure that serves millions of API requests per day. This is a high-ownership, high-impact role for someone who loves solving hard engineering problems at scale and enjoys working close to the metal.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and optimize backend services in Rust with a focus on scalability and ultra low-latency performance.
- Own and improve distributed systems powering our data APIs, event streaming, and real-time services.
Requirements:
- Strong proficiency in Rust (proven experience)
- 5+ years building and scaling production-grade distributed systems.
- Deep understanding of performance tuning, concurrency, and systems architecture.
- Ability to work autonomously, iterate quickly, and write high-quality, maintainable code.
Although the team somewhat operate in the Blockchain space, you won't be working on the chains itself - in fact, ideally they want to hire people from traditional Web2 backgrounds - this could be great for those who are curious about the Web3 world but don't want to take the full leap!
