Key Responsibilities:
We are looking for a **Software Engineer **to join our Move language team. You will be working on designing the new generation of the Move virtual machine (VM), ensuring it is both secure and performant. • Collaborate with other engineers to analyze, optimize, and re-design components of the Move VM to improve its performance and scalability.
• Create benchmarks and identify performance bottlenecks of the Move VM.
• Implement security measures to protect the Move VM from potential vulnerabilities.
• Write clean, maintainable code and participate in reviews for other team members.

What We're Looking For:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with background in compilers, performance optimization, concurrency or related fields. Graduates as well as experienced developers will be considered.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Rust, C++, or similar, with a strong understanding of systems programming.
• You have experience working with or are excited to learn about virtual machines, bytecode interpreters, code generation, memory management, parallel transaction execution and performance engineering.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to work autonomously. Being ready to take ownership of projects, and ensuring their end-to-end delivery.
• Previous experience with blockchain systems and smart contracts is not necessarily needed, but is a plus.
