Ideal Background:

• Background in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent field
• Experience with low-level programming, Linux kernel module development, firmware, and writing kernels
• Skilled with: C, C++, Rust, (System)Verilog/VHDL, Python, Julia, Nix
• Not a vibe-coder
• Have had their Arch or NixOS phase but switched to Ubuntu (or similar) because you needed to get shit done

Huge Plus If:

• Exposure to (Sci)ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch/TinyGrad/JAX/Lux.jl)
• Open source contributor
• Autodidactic polymath with a strong mathematical background
• Someone who doesn't fret when faced with near-impossible technical challenges
