About the Role
Key Responsibilities:
Millions of AI developers will rely on Chroma's cloud service for their applications. We can't afford to deliver something that's just 'good enough'. The AI ecosystem is developing rapidly, and Chroma's service must support today's applications, while building towards tomorrow's.

Chroma's cloud service must be a well-designed distributed system, running at high reliability with high performance, and with a world-class developer experience.
As a member of Chroma’s backend and infrastructure team you’ll contribute to the design, operation, and continuous improvement of Chroma's developer cloud.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of writing and owning production Python, Rust, or Go services.
• Experience with Kubernetes, with a deep understanding of both basic and more advanced concepts such as Custom Kubernetes Operators, CRDs, and Helm.
• Experience with IaaC tools such as Terraform, or Pulumi.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Jaeger, or Honeycomb.
• Experience developing, maintaining, and operating build, test, and deployment pipelines.
• Experience with cloud providers such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Experience with production deployed distributed systems and databases.
• A passion for building and maintaining reliable, scalable, and performant systems.
